Mudbugs Unveil 2009-10 Season Theme

BOSSIER CITY, LA - With their first game of the 2009-2010 Central Hockey League regular season exactly one month away, the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs today announced their theme for the coming year: "Heart & Hustle". The theme will be featured in the team's marketing and advertising efforts this season and will be highly visible throughout the organization.
"Over the years, the foundation of this organization has been built on these two words," said President & General Manager Ray Delia. "Players past and present have always set the tone on the ice and repeatedly been voted the CHL's Hardest Working Team because of it. The heart displayed by our fans and booster club has long been recognized around the league, and often serves as the standard by which other teams measure themselves. The past and future success of our organization is based on the concept of Heart & Hustle."
The "Heart & Hustle" slogan encompasses all aspects of the franchise and those involved, including players, staff and fans. The logo will be featured on the Mudbugs website, team merchandise and throughout our game-night entertainment. Season ticket holders will receive a "Heart & Hustle" lapel pin as a free gift to go with their 2009-10 Mudbugs season ticket purchase (one per account). Even the season tickets themselves are adorned with images of Mudbugs fans showing their heart and Mudbugs players showing their hustle.
The Mudbugs will drop the puck on their 13th season in the Ark-La-Tex on Friday night, October 16th against the Southern Conference rival Laredo Bucks at CenturyTel Center. In their 32 home dates this year, the 'Bugs will host every other team in the CHL at least once, giving local fans the chance to see the best competition the league has offer.
Bossier-Shreveport currently has 12 "Heart & Hustle" type players under contact for this season and will continue to add to their roster up to the start of training camp in early October.
