Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs News Release
BOSSIER CITY, LA -- The Bossier Shreveport Mudbugs are excited to announce their partnership with the Cornfield Maize located at 9596 Sentell Road in Dixie, Louisiana.
In celebration of the 10th season of Mudbugs hockey, Owners Mike and Leilani Billings commissioned this year's Maize in the shape of the Mudbugs logo. The Maize opens to the public this Saturday, September 16th, at 4 p.m. Members of the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs will be on hand for the grand opening. The 2006 grand opening kicks off with a special half-off admission price for all adults and children.
"My husband and I have always been huge Mudbugs fans since we started the Maize back in 1999," said Maize Owner Leilani Billings. "We've always enjoyed the exciting atmosphere at the CenturyTel Center and we hope the fans will experience that same kind of fun when they visit our maze this hockey season. It's a great opportunity for friends and family to get together and have a good time."
In addition, the Mudbugs are including a special ticket offer. Any child 12 and under will receive a voucher for admission to a Mudbugs game with the purchase of an adult ticket to the Maize. This year, the Maize will be open to the public from September 16th through November 26th.
The Maize is a larger than life creation. It covers twelve acres of land that includes five miles of pathway and three bridges. The 2006 design is a layout that will be challenging for everyone. For more details please visit www.mudbugshockey.com.
