Mudbugs Can Advance to Cup Finals Today

BOSSIER CITY, LA - The Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs can advance to the President's Cup Finals for the sixth time in franchise history and first time since 2006 with a win this afternoon in Game 5 of the Berry Conference Finals against the Allen Americans, which starts at 4:05 pm at the CenturyTel Center. Friday's 6-4 victory gave the Mudbugs a 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven series and an opportunity to eliminate the America ns tonight on home ice to clinch the Berry Conference Championship.
As the Mudbugs clash with Allen this afternoon in Game 5, we're asking the Mudbugs family to help us contribute to tornado relief in storm-ravaged Marion County, Alabama. Marion County was one of the hardest-hit areas when a violent series of storms unleashed tornados all over the south last week, so we're donating $1.00 from every ticket sold for today's game to contribute to local relief organizations and support the recovery effort.
We'll also be collecting donations of many desperately-needed daily household items such as bottled water, canned food, baby supplies, soap, shampoo, toothpaste, paper towels, batteries, etc. to send to the people of Marion County. Since Sunday is also Mother's Day, we'll be appreciating moms in the crowd by giving away great prizes throughout the entire game from businesses all over the Bossier-Shreveport area! Moms in attendance will even have the chance to register for top prizes like a free night's stay at the Courtyard by Marriott at the Louisiana Boardwalk, a Mother's Day package from My Spa My Way, a Horseshoe Hotel & Casino prize pack and a $50.00 gift certificate to Superior Steakhouse!
Following Game 5 today, the Mudbugs and SMG are also offering a FREE public skating session for fans. Free skating tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis for the first 100 people to sign up at the Gateway Tire Fan Services Center.
Remember to bring your "Teal Towel" to the game to keep up our new playoff tradition and help turn the CenturyTel Center into a house of horrors for Allen! Mudbugs playoff ticket package holders are reminded to use their tickets for playoff game "H" when they come to today's game.
