Mud Hens to Host \'Business Professionals of America\' Event

The Toledo Mud Hens are pleased to announce that Fifth Third Field will play host to the Business Professionals of America club's annual event, the BPA Spring Fling, on May 4th at 9:30 am. The BPA is a national organization for vocational business students. Over 450 high school students from Ohio's Region 6 will attend the 2005 BPA Spring Fling.

The Spring Fling event will coincide with the Mud Hens School Celebration Day and a special game time of 10:30 am. BPA members will be recognized for various achievements and members of the Mud Hens front office staff and other local professionals who work in the sports industry will participate in a question and answer session with the students.

Speakers that are scheduled to appear at the event include Joe Napoli, General Manager of the Toledo Mud Hens, Mike Miller, President of the Toledo Mud Hens and Vice President of Fifth Third Bank, Mike O'Brien, Athletic Director of the University of Toledo, and Tim Roberts, Operations Manager of Cumulous Radio.

The mission of Business Professionals of America is to contribute to the preparation of a world-class workforce through the advancement of leadership, citizenship, academic, and technological skills.

Students representing Clay High School, Start High School, Waite High School, Libbey High School, Rogers High School, Elmwood High School, the Penta Career Center and the Four County Career Center will be in attendance.
