Metairie, LA â The new movie Mr. 3000, which was released last Friday September 17th, was filmed at Zephyr Field, and features several prominent shots of the ball park in the film.
Starring comedian Bernie Mac as an aging professional baseball player trying to gain entry into the baseball Hall of Fame, Mr. 3000 features live baseball action that was filmed on the diamond at Zephyr Field. Also, several scenes in the movie were filmed in the Zephyr Field home clubhouse. The film was shot at the ballpark in the summer of 2003.
Over the weekend, the movie was ranked second in box office gross, making $8.68 million.
