Mountain Lions Training Camp Opens July 22

Sacramento, CA - The Sacramento Mountain Lions of the United Football League will hold training camp at Natomas High from July 22 - August 5.

There will be a daily morning practice from 8-10:30 a.m. followed by an afternoon practice at 11:15 a.m. The length of the second practice will vary. Everyday of training camp is open to media and fans. Players and coaches will be available for interviews following practices.

"Our coaches and players are very excited to start training camp," Mountain Lions head coach DENNIS GREEN said. "We have 32 players returning that were on our team last year and they know what to expect. It is obvious that all five teams will be better, but we are hoping to be the best."

The Mountain Lions will open the 2011 season at home (at Hornet Stadium) against the Omaha Nighthawks on Aug. 14 before playing another home game on Aug. 20.

Sacramento went 4-4 in 2010 and averaged about 18,250 fans for the home games.
