
Morrison Tames Wolves In OHL Debut

The Kitchener Rangers led by rookie goalie Mike Morrison's 35 saves won their sixth game in a row with a 3-2 overtime win over the Sudbury Wolves.
The Rangers and Wolves exchanged goals in the first period. Scott Timmins back-hand beat Andrew Loverock at 7:08 to give Kitchener a 1-0 lead. John McFarland tied the score 1-1 with a power play goal at 13:16.
Ben Shutron scored his first goal of the season to give the Rangers a 2-1 lead at the 15:07 mark of the second.
Patrik Lusnak scored the only goal of the third period to push the game into overtime.
Myles Barbieri scored his first goal of the season to give the Rangers their sixth straight victory on a slap-shot from the blue line that beat Loverock to the blocker side.
Rookie Rangers goaltender Mike Morrison claimed his first Ontario Hockey League win. The Rangers travel to London tomorrow for their third game in three days to face the Knights. Game time is 2:00pm. Kitchener returns home to face the Peterborough Petes at 7:30pm on Friday, October 24th.
