OWEN SOUND, Ont. - Joey Hishon scored twice to lead the Owen Sound Attack to a 4-1 win over the Erie Otters in an Ontario Hockey League game played tonight in front of 2,667 at the Harry Lumby Bayshore Community Centre. Marc Fanchini and David Kolomatis rounded out the Attack scoring while Andrew Wilkens collected two assists. Owen Sound moved to 4-4-2-1 with the win. Zack Torquato scored the lone Otters goal. Erie saw a two-game winning streak end and are now 4-7-1-0 on the season. The two teams were tied at one after one. Owen Sound carried a 3-1 lead into the third. Shane Owen started and allowed four goals on 49 shots. The three stars of the game were all from the Attack. Hishon was the first, goaltender Tyler Beskorowany (39 saves) the second and Kolomatis the third.
The Otters wrap up a three-game road trip Thursday when they travel to St. Catharines to take on the IceDogs in a 7:30 p.m. start. The game can be heard live on FOX Sports Radio AM 1330 The FAN and on-line at www.ottershockey.com (presented by the James H. Cross Company) beginning with the pre-game show at 7:15 p.m. Erie is back home for a pair of games Friday (October 24th) against the Saginaw Spirit and Saturday (October 25th) against the Kitchener Rangers. The game against the Spirit is presented by Taco Bell and the Otters will wear special pink jerseys for Breast Cancer Awareness Night presented by Arlington Lawn Care in the game against the Rangers.
