
Morris Earns Shutout over Dubuque

BENSENVILLE, Ill. -- Chicago's Cale Morris recorded his third shutout of the season as the Steel beat the Dubuque Fighting Saints 4-0 at the Mystique Ice Center.
Morris moved his record to 11-2-1 in 2013-14 after stopping all 33 Dubuque shots he faced. The Larkspur, Colo. native is now tied for third among United States Hockey League netminders for shutouts.
In the first period, The Steel grabbed the lead just 39 seconds in when Robby Jackson put the puck past Kevin Reich to give his squad the 1-0 advantage. CJ Smith added goals at 10:18 and 18:22 to put the Steel up 3-0 going into the first intermission.
In the second stanza, Mason Bergh scored to boost the Chicago lead to 4-0.
Brendon Kearney tallied two assists in the victory, while John Ernsting, Fredrik Olofsson, Connor Yau and John Schilling each added one of their own.
