
Morin Nets Three in 5-2 Win Over Otters

Jeremy Morin led the Kitchener Rangers to a 5-2 win over the Erie Otters with three goals in the third period.
David Shields scored the lone goal of the first period to put the Otters up 1-1. The goal came on an Erie power play at 9:33. Erie outshot the Rangers 18-12 in the period.
Tyler Randell scored his eighth goal of the season to tie the score 1-1 at the 14:16 mark of the second period. Just 1:39 later, the Otters' Mike Cazzola scored to give Erie a one-goal lead once more. Randell levelled the score 2-2 after he backhanded the puck past Adam Courchaine at 16:37. The Rangers had a 21-12 shooting advantage over the Otters in the period.
Morin scored a pair of power play goals 1:45 apart to give Kitchener their first lead of the night. Morin netted his hat-trick with 21-seconds remaining in the game to give the Rangers a 5-2 win.
The Rangers travel to Guelph this Sunday, March 7th to play the Storm at 2:00pm. They return home for the final regular season home game on Friday, March 12th to host the Owen Sound Attack at 7:30pm.
