Mobile, Ala - The Seattle Mariners made the following roster moves today that affects the Jackson Generals roster prior to today's doubleheader against the Mobile BayBears.

- OF Julio Morban placed on the disabled list (right fibula fracture)

- OF Chantz Mack activated from Short-A Everett

MORBAN, 21, suffered a fractured right fibula in Monday's game two of a doubleheader in Mobile. Morban left today for Seattle to undergo further evaluations. Morban was batting .295 (87x295) with 20 doubles, 5 triples, 7 home runs and 44 RBIs this season in 86 games. Morban was 3rd in the Southern League in batting and was a 2013 Southern League All-Star. Morban posted a career-high 5-RBI game on June 22 vs. Mobile. He was also named Southern League Hitter of the Week (6/17-6/24). He had the longest Jackson hitting streak, 12 games, 4/27-5/13. He was signed as a non-drafted free agent by Seattle in 2008 out of San Cristobal, Dominican Republic.

MACK, 22, has been activated from Short-A Everett of the Northwest League and is the first member of the 2013 draft class to reach Double-A. Mack combined to bat .308 (44x143) with 14 doubles, 1 triple, no home runs and 11 RBIs for the AZL Mariners and Everett AquaSox. Mack was draft by Seattle in 29th round of 2013 Draft out of the University of Miami (FL) (No. 867 overall). He was one of two Hurricanes to start all 62 game. Mack was named team captain prior to season and led team in several offensive categories, including batting average (.302), on-base percentage (.444), hits (61), runs (44), triples (3), walks (41) and stolen bases (15) while recorded team-leading 18 multi-hit games. He resides in Homestead, FL.
