The Manitoba Moose announced today they have signed centre Marco Rosa to an American Hockey League contract.
Rosa, 27, appeared in 69 games in 2008-09 with the Houston Aeros where he scored 40 points (16-24-40) and 42 penalty minutes. He scored 10 points (2-8-10) in 20 playoff games last season in helping the Aeros advance to the Calder Cup Western Conference Final against the Moose. Over the span of his career, the Scarborough, ON native has played in 191 career games in the AHL with Houston, Providence, and Milwaukee where he has accumulated 88 points (36-52-88) and 97 penalty minutes.
Rosa was originally drafted by Dallas in the eighth round, 255th overall, in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft.
