Today, the Manitoba Moose, the American Hockey League affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks, signed defenceman Kent Huskins to an American Hockey League contract.
Huskins, 25, appeared in 79 games last season with the San Antonio Rampage, scoring five goals and 19 points while collecting 42 penalty minutes. In his three-year career, the Ottawa, ON native has played in 224 games with Norfolk and San Antonio, scoring 14 goals and 61 points as well as serving 134 penalty minutes.
Huskins was the sixth choice of the Chicago Blackhawks, 156th overall, in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft.
