Moose Release Andy Brandt from PTO

The Manitoba Moose today announced they have released forward Andy Brandt from his pro tryout contract.

Brandt, 27, played in five games with the Moose after signing his PTO on Jan. 18/11. In that time, the Wausau, WI native collected a pair of assists - his first in the AHL. Brandt has also appeared in 43 games so far this season with the Gwinnett Gladiators of the ECHL where he currently has 23 points (11g, 12a) and has collected 63 penalty minutes. He has played in a total of 10 career AHL games with Manitoba and Lake Erie. Brandt has also played in 255 career ECHL games with Gwinnett and Victoria where he's scored 126 points (52g, 74a) and 166 penalty minutes. In 14 career playoff games in the ECHL, Brandt has a goal and four penalty minutes.
