Winnipeg, MB - The Manitoba Moose Hockey Club and TSN 1290 announced today an extension of their partnership that will see TSN 1290 continue to deliver comprehensive live radio coverage of the Moose throughout the American Hockey League season. The extension covers the Moose for the 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 seasons.
"TSN 1290 has done a great job keeping our community connected to the Manitoba Moose," says Dan Hursh, Vice President of Manitoba Moose Operations. "We are very excited to extend our partnership with TSN 1290 to ensure our passionate fans continue to receive the extensive, professional coverage of our Manitoba Moose on both radio and online platforms."
Live Manitoba Moose broadcasts on TSN 1290 are led by play-by-play announcer Mitch Peacock, who returns for his second season calling Moose games for the team. A veteran of the Winnipeg sports scene, Peacock also provides in-depth analysis, features, and interviews surrounding the team throughout the regular season and playoffs. A seasoned sports broadcaster with over 20 years of experience as a play-by-play announcer, reporter, and anchor, Peacock will also serve as broadcaster for select events at the Olympics this summer taking place in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.
