
Moose announce NHL exhibition game

Today the Manitoba Moose, in conjunction with the Vancouver Canucks and the Edmonton Oilers, announced a National Hockey League (NHL) exhibition game will be played at the Winnipeg Arena on Thursday, September 19, 2002 at 7:30 p.m. The exhibition game will feature the stars and future stars of both the Edmonton Oilers and Vancouver Canucks.
"We are excited to bring an exhibition NHL game to the fans of Winnipeg," stated President and General Manager Randy Carlyle. "When we signed the partnership deal with the Canucks, it was promised that the people of Winnipeg would be able to see NHL action back in the Arena. We look forward to seeing a packed house watch an exciting match between the Edmonton Oilers and our parent club the Vancouver Canucks."
Priority seating for the NHL exhibition game will be available to all Moose season ticket and mini-pack holders for the upcoming season. Priority seating for the NHL exhibition game will also be available through a special three game ticket package called the NHL Icebreaker 3-Pack. The NHL Icebreaker 3-Pack will include the September 19 NHL exhibition game, the 2002-03 Moose season opener which takes place Friday, October 11 against an opponent to be named later and a voucher good for any Moose home game in October or November.
There will be an announcement in the future regarding a date for individual ticket sales for this NHL exhibition game.
