Monterey Bay Football Club and Taylor Farms Deliver on Healthy Goals Campaign

September 28, 2023 - United Soccer League Championship (USL)
Monterey Bay FC News Release

SEASIDE, Calif. - Prior to last season, Monterey Bay Football Club (Monterey Bay F.C.) and Taylor Farms pledged to collaborate on a community initiative as a component of its multi-year partnership deal. As part of what later became known as the Healthy Goals campaign, a local non-profit is designated as a recipient each season - and for 2022, the recipient was the Boys and Girls Club of Monterey County (BGCMC).

The funds for the Healthy Goals campaign were used to deliver the BGCMC an exclusive, one-of-a-kind soccer experience on the Cardinale Stadium pitch prior to the Club's match against Las Vegas Lights FC on September 16. MBFC hosted 100 members of the Boys and Girls Club of Monterey County on the night and each were given custom, co-branded MBFC and Taylor Farms Healthy Goals t-shirts. Following the on-field soccer experience, each member was given tickets to attend the match, and were invited back onto the pitch at halftime to be recognized as the 2022 Healthy Goals recipients.

Part of the community since 1968, The Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey County operates two Clubhouses that serve an average of 500 children a day with high-quality programs provided by trained youth development professionals. Staff and volunteers serve as trusted mentors and advocates for attending youth, offering every child opportunities, expectations, recognition, and guidance in a safe and fun environment.
