Monday Night Football Coming to Allstate Arena

July 22, 2002 – The Chicago Rush announced today that it will host an Arena Football League quarterfinal playoff game at Allstate Arena Monday, August 5, at 7:30 p.m.

The first home playoff game in team history will match the Rush against a winner from the AFL playoffs' opening round, July 26-28.

"Our players and coaches worked hard all season to earn a first-round bye and an extra week of rest," said Rush head coach Mike Hohensee. "But we are more excited we will reward our loyal fans with a home playoff game."

"Chicago fans love Monday night football and we invite them out to support the Rush make a run for the ArenaBowl championship," said Rush senior vice president/general manager Mike Polisky.

The two AFL semifinal games are scheduled for Saturday, August 10, and Sunday, August 11, with the ArenaBowl championship held on Sunday, August 18.

Tickets for Chicago's quarterfinal playoff game start at $8 and will go on sale at 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 23. Fans wishing to purchase tickets to the game may order by calling Ticketmaster at (312) 559-1212 or by visiting the Ticketmaster Web site at www.ticketmaster.com. Tickets also may be purchased in person at any Ticketmaster outlet or the Allstate Arena box office.
