The Mobile BayBears return home June 5th, to host a five game series against division rival Mississippi. Here's a preview of the fabulous promotions during the homestand. All game times are 7:05 unless noted.
June 5th is Thirsty Thursday-$1 Budweiser and Bud Light's from 6 until 8 PM. There will also be a rockin' pre-game concert by DJ Doctor Feelgood in the concourse. It's also Baldwin County "Teacher Appreciation Night". The Baybears will also celebrate "Cinco de Junio" on Random Night. Since the BayBears did not play at home on "Cinco de Mayo", they will celebrate June 5th with "Cinco de Junio".
Friday, June 6th, is Faith Night at the Hank and will feature an incredible pre-game concert by Hawk Nelson on BayBear Mountain. The Gospel Music Channel will be on hand filming the concert. As always, a ginormous fireworks show will be following the game. Gates will open at 5p with the Concert starting at 5:30. The last two years, Faith Night with Hawk Nelson has Sold Out. The Alabama Dept. of Homeland Security will present Hurricane Preparedness Night at the Hank. They will have various vehicle and equipment to display Alabama's state of readiness. It will also be someone's chance to Party like a RockStar from The Hard Rock in Biloxi. One person and a guest will win two tickets to the Collective Soul concert, Dinner for Two and Overnight Accommodations. Our winners will be picked up on the field pre-game and provided round trip transportation by "Haze" the Hard Rocks purple Escalade.
June 7th features a special appearance by Andrew Dan-Jumbo, the star of TLC's Take Home Handyman. He will be here to support and benefit Cystic Fibrosis Night sponsored by International Assurance. Andrew is a big supporter of CF and proud to be a part of this great event. Also, local band, the Lucky 7's will be performing live in front of Gaslight Park.
Sunday's 6:05 PM game will feature Play Catch in the Outfield from 5pm to 5:30pm. It is also our Little League-Night Of Champions. The BayBears will celebrate these young athletes and their on-field accomplishments.
The homestand against the Braves comes to a close on Monday, June 9th, with Super Splash Day I and has a 12:05 PM start. Waterville USA from Gulf Shores will be here to cool down the crowd and giveaway some great prizes. PREPARE TO GET WET! Great daytime baseball and your chance to get some Vitamin D enriched Sunshine.
