
MLS Announces 2007 Supplemental Draft Results

NEW YORK (Thursday, January 18, 2007) - The 13 Major League Soccer teams continued adding depth to their rosters by selecting a combined 51 players in the 2007 MLS Supplemental Draft, which was held via teleconference from the League headquarters on Thursday afternoon.
All players who were eligible for and not selected in the 2007 MLS SuperDraft - held on Friday, Jan. 12 - and additional players nominated by teams were eligible for selection in the Supplemental Draft. The original order of the four-round MLS Supplemental Draft is determined from the reverse order of finish following the 2006 season.
MLS teams may begin pre-season training on Feb. 3, 2007. MLS Cup 2006 Champions, the Houston Dynamo, and MLS Eastern Conference regular season champions, D.C. United, have been granted permission to begin training Jan. 23, 2007 as they prepare for the CONCACAF Champions Cup Quarterfinals two-leg series beginning on February 20 and 22. All MLS teams must be in roster and salary compliance on March 1, 2007 (18 Senior Roster, 10 Developmental Roster, 4 Senior International players).
