Moncton Miracles News Release

(Moncton, NB) The Moncton Miracles have announced today that they have released 6'6" small forward Tyrone Levett from their roster.

The Miracles organization wanted to hold off on releasing details of the Tyrone Levett trade until they could provide accurate information to their fans.

On Sunday evening, Tyrone contacted Kim Blanco, President of the Miracles, to talk with her about the opportunity to be traded.

"It was a good conversation nothing negative," said Blanco. "He said he liked the organization and Moncton but was not sure if he could play for another coach with the team. I said no problem and I would look into a trade because I only wanted players that want to be a part of this organization."

Blanco was able to negotiate a deal with the Windsor Express whom the Miracles only play one other time this year so it was the ideal situation.

"I reached out to Tyrone to let him know that I was able to trade him to the Windsor Express." she said. "When Windsor reached out to him, Tyrone told them he would not be reporting and did not want to play for them."

The team tried reaching Levett by phone and received no answer. Blanco then went to Levett's apartment, provided by the Organization, and all his belongings were cleaned out. Due to the fact that Levett refused the trade to Windsor, Moncton placed Levett on the inactive roster for the Miracles, which meant they still owned Levett's rights. In order to be released, he would have to buyout the terms in the contract in order to play for another organization.

Last night, Tyrone contacted Blanco and informed her that he would be buying out the terms in his contract.

The Miracles wish him well and look forward to moving forward.
