Miracles lose 112-109 to Mill Rats

The story of the game was free throws. The Miracles (1-2) missed 15 free throws enroute to a 112-109 loss to the Saint John Mill Rats (2-1).

One great story from the game was Trayvon Lathan's return to the Miracles. The team released guard Dominique Buckley on Nov. 8 and added Lathan to the roster the morning of the game. Lathan had 17 points and 7 assists on 7 of 13 shooting in his return to the team. Stanley Robinson also paced the Miracles with 24 points and 12 rebounds. The Mill Rats were led by Anthony Anderson with 28 points and 7 assists and Will Blalock with 18 points, 7 assists, and 5 rebounds.

The Miracles lead by 6 points going into halftime at 54-49 and were slow out of the gate in the 3rd quarter and allowed the Mill Rats to take the lead early in the quarter.

The home team outrebounded the Mill Rats, 51-47, had fewer turnovers, 16-15, but only shot 61.5% (24-39) from the Free Throw stripe. The Mill Rats were 24-34 from the charity stripe and 40-82 (48.8%) from the field.
