Ottawa SkyHawks News Release

The Ottawa SkyHawks travelled this weekend to tip-off against the London Lightning on London's home turf at the Budweiser Gardens. The Skyhawks scored a win for the season last week against the Halifax Rainmen.

The SkyHawks brought their game to London, and made them dance by matching their skill all game. They played a tight game, showing the London Lightning seamless transitions between steals and rebounds. The score was close throughout the game, and the Lightning only pulled ahead by one point in the end, beating the SkyHawks 98-97.

Forward Tirrell Baines from the SkyHawks said "We were up by 1 in the closing seconds; we did not execute and that cost us the game. We learn and grow; it's still early in the season. Now we get ready for Mississauga next Saturday at home."

The SkyHawks return to Ottawa to play the Missisauga Power next Saturday, November 16th. The Missisauga Power is currently sitting with two wins and one loss, and has yet to tip-off against the SkyHawks the regular season.
