Miracles Get Washed out by the Rainmen

(Moncton, NB) The Moncton Miracles handed the Halifax Rainmen their first win of the season with a final score of 83-87.

The Miracles came out making their shots early on. Tyrone Levett and Devin Sweetney hit back-to-back 3's to give them a 13-5 lead with 7 minutes remaining in the first quarter. They finished the first quarter with a 22-18 lead over the Rainmen.

The entire second quarter continued to go basket for basket with both teams fighting hard for every point and every loose ball. The half finished with Halifax taking a 34-35 lead.

The last half of the game was a nail biter with the lead getting tossed back and forth between the teams before Halifax finally finishing on top.

Tyrone Levett led the way for the Miracles with 23 points and 7 rebounds. Devin Sweetney followed with 17 points and Lester Prosper pulled down 14 rebounds.

Brandon Robinson was the top scorer for the Rainmen with 22 points and 8 rebounds. Joey Haywood was right behind him with 21 points.
