
Miracles End 7 Game Losing Streak with Win over A's

(Moncton, NB) The Moncton Miracles conquered the Brampton A's with a final score of 125-111 in front of 1,138 fans. This makes the Moncton Miracles the first Atlantic team to defeat a team from the Central Division.
Both teams came out hungry for a win in the first quarter and it was obvious that the next forty-eight minutes would be a battle. In the first twelve minutes of play the game would be tied three times with six lead changes making it anyone's game. Brampton A's led 28-24 over the Miracles after the first.
The Brampton A's led by as many as 10 points in the second quarter but the Miracles would continue to push to stay in it. Newbie Daquan Brooks would knock down a buzzer beater to tie the game 59-59. Brooks led the way for Moncton with 15 points at the half while Stanley Robinson knocked down 10 points and had 8 rebounds. Flenard Whitfield has 15 points for the Brampton and Richard Amardi had 10.
The Miracles would continue to build momentum in the third quarter. Moncton ended the quarter with a 92-87 lead and showed no sign of slowing down. Miracles Shamus Ferguson and Dwayne Smith both fouled out of the game in the fourth quarter.
Daquan Brrooks led the way for the Miracles with 29 points. Stanley Robinson added another double double with 14 points and 10 rebounds while Tramar Sutherland had 17.
Richard Amardi scored 21 points for the A's while Akeem Scott knocked down 20. Cavell Johnson added in with a double double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Brampton A's bench was handed a technical foul as well as Flenard Whitfield.
Miracles record improves to 2-7 while A's fall to 4-6.
The Miracles travel to the Island tomorrow to take on the Storm. The game will get underway at 2pm at the Eastlink Centre. The Miracles next home game is scheduled for Friday, December 12th against the Saint John Mill Rats. Tip-off is 7pm at the Moncton Coliseum.
