The Moncton Miracles lost 111-101 to the Island Storm in their fourth home loss of the season.
The Miracles drew to within one point on four separate occasions in the fourth quarter and just couldn't finish the comeback.
The numbers say this was a winnable game for the Miracles, but the Storm hung tough down the stretch. The Miracles outshot the Island in every aspect shooting 47% from the field, 42% from three, and 60% from the free throw line.
The Storm were led by Semaj Inge who went 9/9 from the field enroute to 21 points. Derek Coleman chipped in with nine points, six rebounds, and six assists.
Johnny Mayhane paced the Miracles with 26 points on 6/12 shooting including 5/9 from downtown. Trayvon Lathan also contributed with 14 points, eight rebounds, and five assists.
With 10 lead changes, the game was a battle. The Miracles had 24 turnovers and were out-rebounded 56-47 by the Storm.
The Miracles will look to redeem themselves when the Halifax Rainmen come to town on Thursday to play at the Coliseum.
