Moncton Miracles News Release

On Monday, December 16, participants of the Partners of Youth program will be attending the Moncton Miracles basketball practice from 11:30AM - 12:15PM at the Crandall University Gymnasium. Partners of Youth is a series of programs which encourage community engagement in the young participants. The mission of the program is to engage youth who are facing challenges in their lives, thus allowing them to become capable, connected and contributing members of their communities.

Partners of Youth has developed a program entitled The Adventure Classroom. This program is provided in over 20 middle schools for hand-picked students from Grades 6 through 8. This is an adventure-based social development and empowerment prgoram where participating youth meet for a minimum of 24 hours per school year, and an additional 50 hours of camp during the summer at no cost to the students. The program is based upon eight segments: group development, communication, environmental education, goal setting, and community development. Many students graduate from the program with an eagerness to volunteer with the incoming group of younger participating students, and thus Partners of Youth has developed a Leadership program for these youth.

The Miracles look forward to hosting participants of The Adventure Classroom with the Partners of Youth program this Monday in support of youth engagement and empowerment through the world of sport.
