
Miracle Continue Winning Ways Against Cardinals

Fort Myers Mighty Mussels News Release
JUPITER -- The Fort Myers Miracle improved its season record against Palm Beach to 6-1 after Sunday's final score of 8-4 at Roger Dean Stadium.
Nick Romero was 2-for-5 with a double and three RBI in support of starter David Bromberg (7-0) in a game in which the Miracle never trailed. Rene Leveret (2-for-4, double, RBI) and Mark Dolenc (2- for-3, 2 RBI) also had multi-hit days. Bromberg exited after five and two-thirds having allowed eight hits, four runs (three earned), two walks, and four strikeouts. Joe Testa recorded strikeouts in all four of his outs, Santos Arias threw a perfect inning and struck out two, and Blair Erickson threw a scoreless ninth with one strikeout to end it. Combined, the bullpen logged 3.1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 7 SO.
George Brown (0-3) suffered teh loss for Palm Beach. He lasted three innings and gave up five runs, four earned, on five hits. He didn't strike out any and walked one.
Estarlin de los Santos was 1-for-5 with two runs scored in his first game back from the disabled list. De los Santos was injured April 28th in the very same Roger Dean Stadium in which he made his return. He hit .250 in two games with the Gulf Coast League Twins before making his return.
In other injury news, Joe Benson, on the disabled list since May 12, started his rehab assignment with the GCL Twins Sunday and went 1- for-3 at the plate.
The Cardinals and Miracle continue the three-game series on Monday at 7:05 p.m.
