
Minnesota Wild Recalls Eight from Iowa

DES MOINES, IA - Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher on Monday announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled the following eight players from the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL):
C Grayson Downing: 19-21=40 in 56 games...second on Iowa in goals and scoring. Set the team mark for goals, assists and points by a rookie.
RW Kurtis Gabriel: 6-4=10 and 137 PIM in 66 games with Iowa. Posted a career high with 137 penalty minutes.
C Tyler Graovac: 5-11=16 in 39 games with Iowa. He ranks first on Iowa's all-time list for games played, goals and points.
G Stephen Michalek: 7-5-2 with a 2.63 GAA and a .910 SV% in 14 games with Iowa.
RW Zack Mitchell: 22-20=42 in 70 games...led Iowa in goals and scoring. Second on Iowa's all-time scoring list for goals and points.
D Zach Palmquist: 4-7=11 in 69 games for Iowa.
D Tyson Strachan: 1-12=13 in 67 games in Iowa.
D Hunter Warner: tallied one assist in three games with Iowa after concluding his season in Prince Albert of the Western Hockey League (WHL).
Minnesota hosts Dallas in Game 3 of its Western Conference First Round Series tonight at 7:30 p.m. CT at Xcel Energy Center on FOX Sports North, CNBC and KFAN 100.3 FM.
In addition, Iowa Wild General Manager Brent Flahr announced the team has assigned defenseman Guillaume Gelinas to the Quad City Mallards, Iowa's ECHL affiliate.
Gelinas, 22 (6/14/93), played in 25 games for Iowa this season with two goals and two assists. The Quebec native has also played in 43 games for the Quad City Mallards this season. At the time of his recall, he was fourth on the team in scoring with nine goals and 16 assists for 27 points. For his AHL career, Gelinas has four goals in five assists totaling nine points in 62 games with Iowa.
