Minnesota Wild activates Nolan, reassigns Kolanos

HOUSTON, Texas - Minnesota Wild President and General Manager Doug Risebrough today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has activated right wing Owen Nolan off Injured Reserve and reassigned center Krys Kolanos to the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Nolan, 36 (2/12/72), was placed on Injured Reserve on Nov. 3. He has four points (1-3=4) and is a plus-one in five games this season. Nolan is averaging 15:14 TOI. The 6-foot-1, 215-pound native of Belfast, Northern Ireland, has 811 points (382-429=811) and 1,733 penalty minutes in 1,073 career games over 17 seasons. Nolan was signed as a free agent on July 6, 2008.

Kolanos, 27 (7/27/81), was recalled from Houston on Nov. 3 and scored one goal while accruing two penalty minutes and averaging 11:06 TOI in two games with the Wild. Kolanos has recorded eight points (7-1=8) in seven games with Houston this season.
