Minnesota United FC News Release
GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - Minnesota United and U.S. Soccer announced today that Allianz Field will host the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup champions in a game against Portugal on Tuesday, September 3 as part of the U.S. Women's National Team Victory Tour presented by Allstate®. The game will be broadcast on ESPN 2 and the ESPN App at 7:00 p.m. CT.
"It's always fun to play in cities that we haven't been to that much and with the opening of the new stadium for Minnesota United, it's awesome that we'll get to play in Saint Paul this fall in a world class facility that is another sign of the growth of soccer in the USA," said USWNT midfielder Rose Lavelle. "I'm all in favor of any time we can go to Big-10 country and we're really looking forward to celebrating the World Cup title with all of the fans in the Midwest."
The 2019 USWNT Victory Tour, presented by Allstate®, kicks off on Saturday, August 3, when the USA hosts the Republic of Ireland at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California.
