MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (Friday, May 29th, 2015) -- Minnesota United (3W-3T-1L, 12pts.) looks for its fourth straight win and fourth straight sellout this Saturday as it welcomes the North American Soccer League-leading New York Cosmos to National Sports Center Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. - fans can catch all the action live on KSTC45-TV or ESPN3.

"We have put ourselves into a position to make this weekend a very competitive game," said Minnesota United Head Coach Manny Lagos. "We've been playing well these last couple of weeks and Cosmos have done a good job of staying undefeated in the League, so its a big game for us to step onto the field and show that we want to compete for the Spring Championship-by getting a result tomorrow we can do that."

The Cosmos come to Minnesota undefeated and can clinch the Spring Season Championship with a win Saturday and a Tampa Bay loss. The Loons have a game in hand and need to win out in order to lift the trophy in June. Meeting the Cosmos at home, this is certainly the biggest match so far this season for Minnesota United-who can gain significant ground in the Spring Table with a win this weekend.

"The Cosmos have a deep and balanced team, they've done a good job of staying consistent," said Lagos. "We've played fairly well with them at times and just haven't gotten the result. It's important for us to keep a belief and confidence with the way we play against them and make sure that we get excited about challenging and taking the game at them."

Minnesota will be playing its third game in seven days on Saturday, after defeating the Jacksonville Armada last weekend and suffering a disappointing midweek loss to St. Louis FC in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. The Loons will be looking for their first ever win over the Cosmos on Saturday to set up an intense final two matches of the Spring Season chasing the Spring Championship trophy.
