Minneapolis, Minn. (Wednesday, April 23rd, 2014) -- Minnesota United today took a critical step toward expanding its reach into the youth soccer community throughout Minnesota as it announced a new partnership with the Minnesota Youth Soccer Association (MYSA).

"This is an important step for Minnesota United to grow our reach into the youth soccer playing community in Minnesota," said United president Nick Rogers. "We are very happy to be partnering with the Minnesota Youth Soccer Association. Youth soccer participation in this market is massive and we hope, through this relationship, that as a professional club we can help grow the interest in the sport we are so passionate about."

The Minnesota United and MYSA partnership is a natural one as both organizations have a vested interest in cultivating a great youth soccer culture in Minnesota. As part of the agreement, Minnesota United will promote MYSA as the premier youth soccer organization in the state. In addition, MYSA will showcase their logo and signage in the National Sports Center Stadium concourse as well as have a branded section in the stands throughout the 2014 North American Soccer League season. Minnesota United will now also offer exclusive benefits and opportunities to the more than 70,000 MYSA registered youth soccer players and their families.

"MYSA is really looking forward to having a strong relationship with Minnesota United FC," said MYSA Executive Director Candace Daley. "We believe it's very important, not only for us as the state association, but also for all 140 member clubs of ours, to partner with Minnesota United and do everything we can to support their efforts to growing the sport in our state. It encourages and inspires all of the youth soccer players to continue playing the game of soccer."

Minnesota United FC kicks off its 2014 NASL home campaign this Saturday, April 26th at the National Sports Center Stadium in Blaine, Minn. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. For tickets and information, fans can call 763.4SOCCER or visit www.MNUnitedFC.com/tickets. All 2014 Minnesota United home games will be broadcast on KSTC45-TV.
