Minnesota Twins Team Up with Lynx by Purchasing Tickets for Friday's Playoff Opener vs. Seattle

MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL - The Minnesota Twins have teamed up with the Lynx as they open up the playoffs this upcoming Friday, September 20 against the Seattle Storm (8 p.m. tip). In support of the Lynx, the Twins have purchased 500 upper level tickets for Friday night's Game 1 and are offering them to fans for free. Beginning Tuesday at 8 a.m., the first 250 fans that call in to 612-673-8400 will have the opportunity to sit in the Twins seats; limit two per customer.

For the third consecutive year, Minnesota (26-8) finished the regular season with the best overall record in the league, securing homecourt advantage throughout the 2013 Lynx Playoffs presented by Medica Individual and Family Plans. The Lynx became just the third team in WNBA history to string together three consecutive 25+ win seasons and their 80 wins since the start of 2011 matched the second-highest three-year aggregate win total in league history (81 - Los Angeles, 2000-02). After reaching the Finals in each of the past two seasons, Minnesota is seeking to become just the third team in league history to reach the Finals in three consecutive seasons.

Single-game tickets for the Western Conference Semifinals range from $16 ($11 for season ticket holders and $13 for groups of 10 or more) to $195 ($170 for season ticket holders). Playoff strips, which include tickets to all potential postseason home games, are also available for purchase for as low as $131, a discount of as much as 25% from the single-game price.
