SAINT PAUL, Minn. - The National Lacrosse League (NLL) today announced that Minnesota Swarm team captain T Andrew Suitor has been named the Week #9 Transition Player of the Week.

Suitor, 22, recorded two goals, collected six loose balls, and forced two turnovers in the Swarm's 15-11 road victory against the Calgary Roughnecks last Saturday. In eight games in 2012, Suitor has tallied 14 points (9g, 5a), 55 loose balls, 11 forced turnovers, and has won 14-of-28 faceoffs.

"His overall game has just been phenomenal," head coach Joe Sullivan said. "He's been excellent at getting himself prepared - watching both the offenses and defenses of other teams to understand what they're all about. He's taken it upon himself to get better, and obviously with the success that he's had early in the season, it's worked."

The Orangeville, Ontario native also received Transition Player of the Week honors back in Week #4 after notching a hat trick during the Swarm's home opener against the Buffalo Bandits on Jan. 28. Minnesota defeated Buffalo that evening 19-11.

Minnesota (5-3) returns to action on Saturday, March 17 on the road against the Bandits (2-5) at 6:30 p.m. CT.
