The Gus
Hopefully you were able to stop by the Ripknees' table and watch the Ripknee sponsored dunk contest at Gus Macker last weekend. We were able to expand our contact list, so welcome to all the newcomers. The tournament went very smooth at its new location in the John Rose MN Oval in Roseville. A special thank you to all of the Ripknees players that helped referee the event.
For the Unfamiliar
Many of you are receiving this newsletter for the first time this week. We would like to introduce you to the newest professional sports franchise in the Twin Cities; the new "big ticket" in town. The Minnesota Ripknees finished their inaugural season last year with a 24-8 record, winning the Central Conference Championship. This year they will play in the Premier Basketball League in the Legendary Roy Wilkins Auditorium in Downtown St. Paul. As an organization, the Minnesota Ripknees is community and charity based. Our philosophy is to provide the families of the Twin Cities with high-quality entertainment at an affordable price, while at the same time giving back to Twin Cities families by donating 10% of our profits to cancer research. We hope that all of you will join us for some quality basketball this season.
