
Minnesota recalls RW Ward

SAINT PAUL/Minneapolis, Minn. - Minnesota Wild President and General Manager Doug Risebrough announced Thursday that the National Hockey League club has recalled right wing Joel Ward from the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League. This marks the third call-up to Minnesota for Ward, who was reassigned by the Wild on Tuesday.
Ward, 26 (12/2/80), has eight points (4-4=8) and 18 penalty minutes in 27 games for the Aeros this season. He has one assist in nine games with the Wild. The 6-foot-2, 205-pound Toronto native put up 22 points (8-14=22) in 66 games as a rookie with the Aeros in 2005-06.
The Aeros are at Toyota Center on Friday against the Manchester Monarchs at 7:35 p.m. It's Mullet Madness Night. The first 3,000 fans will receive a Mullet wig. Call 1.866.GO.AEROS for tickets.
