
MINNESOTA REASSIGNS GOALTENDER NIKLAS SVEDBERG TO IOWA

DES MOINES, IA - Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher on Friday announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has reassigned goaltender Niklas Svedberg to the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Svedberg, 28 (9/4/89), was recalled under emergency conditions on Nov. 8 and did not appear in a game with Minnesota. He is 3-6-1 with a 2.84 goals-against average (GAA), a .904 save percentage (SV%) and one shutout in 10 games with Iowa this season. The 6-foot-1, 168-pound native of Sollentuna, Sweden, is 8-5-1 with a 2.31 GAA, a .920 SV% and two shutouts in 19 career NHL games, played in parts of two seasons with Boston (2013-15).
In addition, the Iowa Wild has reassigned goaltender Adam Vay, 23 (3/22/94), to the Rapid City Rush - Iowa's ECHL affiliate.
The Iowa Wild hosts the Cleveland Monsters at Wells Fargo Arena this weekend for a pair of games. Saturday is Veterans Appreciation and ALS Night with a baseball hat giveaway, pregame Ted Stockton concert and postgame jersey auction. Fans can bring their dogs to the game for Pucks N Paws on Sunday at 5 p.m.
