MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL - The Minnesota Lynx today announced the team has waived center Waltiea Rolle. The Lynx roster now stands at 12 players in preparation for the league's official roster cut-down deadline on Thursday, May 14 at 4 p.m. CT.
Rolle, a third-round pick (36th overall) by the Lynx in the 2013 WNBA Draft, appeared in all three preseason games with the Lynx this season, averaging 7.0 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.0 steals per game
The 2013 WNBA Champion Lynx will tip off the 2014 season on the road at Washington on Friday, May 16 at 7 p.m. The 2014 home opener will be on Sunday, May 18 vs. Connecticut at 4 p.m., which will feature a historic ring ceremony and championship banner for the 2013 WNBA Champions beginning at 3:30 p.m. Full-season and half-season memberships are available by visiting www.lynxbasketball.com or by calling 612-673-8400.
