Miners Sell First Ever Individual Game Tickets

Marion, IL - Fans waited outside the Southern Illinois Miners office for two and one half hours before the first tickets in Miners history were sold. The wait was worth it for those searching for Opening Day tickets and tickets for the Miners first season in the Independent Frontier League.
Brisk season ticket and group ticket sales made seats in the box and reserve sections of Miners Park scarce for Opening Day. Dot Sweet of West Frankfort made history by becoming the first person to purchase individual game tickets to a Miners ballgame.
Limited Lawn Seats and Standing Room Only (SRO) tickets remain available for Opening Night, May 29.
Box Seat and Reserve Seat tickets remain for the next 5 games (May 30 through June 6) of the Miners Opening Homestand as well as the rest of the season. Tickets can be purchased by visiting the Miners office inside the Illinois Centre Mall Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 9 PM and Sunday from 12 PM to 6 PM, ordering tickets online at www.southernillinoisminers.com or by calling the Miners office at (618) 998-8499.
