
Miners Rained Out

MARION, Ill. - The Miners were rained out in Evansville following an hour-plus rain delay Friday night at Bosse Field. Heavy rains and lightning soaked the field in the bottom of the third inning with the Miners trailing the Otters, 4-2.
The preseason game will not be rescheduled. However, the Miners will take on the Otters Saturday at Brooks Stadium in Paducah. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
The Miners will open the 2011 regular season on Friday, May 20 on the road against the Gateway Grizzlies. The home opener is scheduled for Tuesday, May 24, at 7:05 p.m. against the Evansville Otters.
