MILWAUKEE (November 15, 2006) - Head Coach and Vice President of Soccer Operations, Keith Tozer announced today former defensive standout and UWM alumni Chad Dombrowski will rejoin the team on a 5 game contract. Dombrowski, a native of West Allis, played in all 30 regular season games and in both of the Wave's playoff games in the 2005-06 season. Ranking among the top defenders in the organization, Dombrowski was third on the team in total blocks last year with 24.

Dombrowski was tabbed as one of the top returning defenders to this year's team but the opportunity to play outdoor soccer overseas proved too much enticement. Dombrowski will play in Sweden after the first of the year with his brother Tighe, also a UWM alumni. "At this stage of my career, I figure I should be taking a chance, instead of waiting until I'm 28 or 29," Chad Dombrowski said. "And especially in Europe. Everyone is coming out at age 18 or 19 over there."
