
Mike Manciel, '05 IBL All Star, Joins BC Knights Roster

Battle Creek, Michigan-The Battle Creek Knights professional basketball team are proud to announce the signing of Mike Manciel for tonight's road contest vs. the Macomb County Mustangs.
Mike Manciel, a 6'4" combo guard, attended Detroit Country Day High School and Central Michigan University. Mike was the first CMU Chippewa to earn the Mid American Conference "Freshman of the Year" basketball honor in 1999.
Mike Manciel played the 2005 IBL season with the Detroit Pros averaging 20.8 points per game average and was voted an International Basketball League All Star player last year.
Since Mike's 2005 season ended with the Detroit Pros. Manciel continued to play professional basketball on the International stage in both Chile and South America.
"The team is glad to have Mike join the Knights and we are excited about him helping us in defending our IBL championship, said Battle Creek Knights general manager, David Darkey.
To finish up the weekend the Knights travel to Ohio to take on the expansion, 6-7, Cuyahoga Falls Cougars, at 6 p.m.
