South Bend Cubs News Release
South Bend, IN - As the Baseball Winter Meetings open in Nashville, Tennessee, the Midwest League of Professional Baseball, Clubs, Inc. ("Midwest League") has a lot to celebrate for 2015 and look forward to in 2016.
Last evening the South Bend Cubs were presented by President Pat O'Conner of Minor League Baseball with the John H Johnson Award recognizing its record setting 2015 season and its rise to become one of MiLB's most outstanding franchises.
Also, in a highly unusual circumstance a team in the same Division of the same League in the same State also received recognition as one of MiLB's elite. President Dick Nussbaum presented at the Annual Banquet of MiLB the John Henry Moss Award for Community Service to the Fort Wayne Tin Caps.
Nussbaum remarked: "What a night and what a year for South Bend, Fort Wayne and the entire Midwest League. It is fitting 2 of our Clubs receive this kind of national recognition tonight, but throughout the year whenever any list of "The Best" is created you see Midwest League teams at or near the top."

Record Attendance for a season with 4.23 million fans attending MWL games - 10 % of all of Minor League Baseball Attendance and 3rd League overall behind just the 2 AAA Leagues, International and Pacific Coast League.
