
Mid-Michigan Wins First Game over Chicago, 116-105

Mid-Michigan Destroyers News Release
The Mid-Michigan Destroyers fell behind by as many as 11 points in the first half, but used a 39 point third quarter to jump-start them to their first win in franchise history, 116-105.
The Chicago Throwbacks held a 48-42 lead at the half, before the Destroyers outscored the throwbacks 39-23 in the third quarter to take an 80-75 lead after the third frame.
The Destroyers built an 11 point lead in the fourth, before the Throwbacks brought the game back to within five points with just over two minutes remaining in the game.
However, Mid-Michigan closed the game out with a 14-8 run to seal off the win 116-105.
Newly signed Marcus Skinner led the Destroyers with 28 points and six rebounds. Odgra Bobo put in 24 points, and Luke Lloyd had a game high 15 rebounds.
The Throwbacks were lead by Anthony Simmons, who scored 27 points and 10 rebounds. Stanley Thomas scored 22 points for Chicago.
The Destroyers (1-3) play the undefeated Battle Creek Nights Saturday, Jan. 24 at Bay City Western High School. Tip off is set for 7:05 p.m. Tickets are $6 for general admission and $10 for courtside.
