Michigan Warriors News Release
The Michigan Warriors are working hard on and off the ice this holiday season. On Thursday, December 5th the Warriors teamed up with Richfield Public School Academy in conjunction with the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan for the 4th annual food distribution. Joni Clemons, Parent Liason for Richfield Public School Academy said the event provided food to 315 families in the community, "This is our 4th annual food distribution with the Warriors and we couldn't feed all these families without the manpower and compassion that these boys bring to their community. The team worked hard unloading the truck, sorting the food and handing it out to the families. The Food Bank of Eastern Michigan is very excited to provide the community this opportunity of hunger relief during the holiday season."
Warriors Head Coach and General Manger, Moe Mantha was grateful for the opportunity to help out in the community, "We were lucky enough to be able to help out these families during this holiday season. I really saw an extreme sense of accomplishment and gratitude by our players being able to give a little time and help out in the Flint community."
The Warriors will be on the road this week for 3 games before returning home for 3 games the following week taking on the Soo Eagles on December 19th and the Johnstown Jets on December 20th and 21st. The game on December 20th is a Free Kids Friday and will provide up to 2 free tickets for children 12 and under with a paid adult. The December 21st game will feature a Skate with the Team following the game.
