Miami FC hosts this 4th of July match following its 1-0 win against the Portland Timbers on Sunday night, a game in which Miami outplayed its opponent well beyond the final margin of victory. The goal was scored on a penalty kick in the 30th minute by Fabian Sandoval. Although the game finished 1-0, it did not reflect what really happened in the field as Miami FC dominated throughout. This win puts the South Floridian squad in 4th place in the league, and in strong playoff contention as the second half of the season kicks off. The first six teams in the final USL First Division standings qualify to the playoffs.
