DE SANTIS, GERVAIS AND VINCELLO AMONG USL ALL-STARS

Head coach Nick De Santis as well as defenders Gabriel Gervais and Mauricio Vincello will represent the Montreal Impact on Wednesday, July 19, in a game the United Soccer Leagues First Division All-Stars will play against English Championship League club Sheffield Wednesday in Cary, North Carolina (8 pm, FSW). De Santis will serve as head coach of the USL All-Stars against the Championship League club, after being proclaimed USL D1 Coach of the Year last season. Gervais was the league's Defender of the Year in 2003 and 2004, and a finalist in that category in 2005. Vincello won the Impact's Unsung Hero award in 2005.

WEBER AND PIZZOLITTO ON THE TEAM OF THE WEEK

Goalkeeper Andrew Weber and defender Nevio Pizzolitto were selected to the United Soccer Leagues First Division Team of the Week (11th). In a 1-0 win over the Rochester Raging Rhinos, on June 28, in Montreal, Weber earned his fifth shutout of the season, making the save on a penalty kick, while Pizzolitto scored the game winning goal.

IMPACT JOS LOUIS PUBLIC PRACTICE JULY 3

The Montreal Impact will hold its third public practice of the summer on Monday, July 3rd, at 7 pm at Vaudreuil's Dorion-Garden Park. Presented by Jos Louis cakes, the practice will feature drills, animation as well as the chance to win promotional items. The entire team and the coaching staff will be on hand. There will be prizes and autograph sessions. Three other public practices will also take place throughout the summer. For more details: www.impactmontreal.com

FSW AND RDS WILL BROADCAST THE JULY 7 GAME

Fox Sports World and RDS will broadcast the game against the Vancouver Whitecaps set to be played on Friday, July 7, at Claude-Robillard Sports Complex at 8:00 pm. It will be the only Impact game broadcast by Fox this year. RDS will present four other Montreal games in 2006, for a total of six this season. Since 1993, the Impact has a record of 18 victories, 6 losses and 2 ties against the Whitecaps.
