
Miami FC Signs 20-Year-Old David Mejía

Miami, FL. - The Miami Football Club announced today the signing of midfielder David Mejía.
Mejía joins Miami after four seasons with MLS Next Pro team Atlanta United II. He played with Atlanta from 2020-2023 chalking up 59 appearances. With Atlanta, the 20-year-old tallied eight goals and four assists.
Prior to joining MLS Next Pro, Atlanta United II was under the USL Championship. Mejía spent three seasons in the USL. With 2,265 minutes played in the league, he had 46 appearances and five goals.
During May of 2022, Mejía was called up to the Peru U-20 National Team to play Uruguay in international friendlies. Later, in December, Mejía was called up again to represent Peru on home soil in their friendlies against Uruguay and Colombia.
