Miami FC drowns the Virginia Beach Mariners on the road 3-0

Miami, FL- Apparently Miami FC has found their best soccer at an ideal time. That's at the final stretch of the season, and Miami FC is getting closer to the postseason by beating the Virginia Beach Mariners 3-0 on the road tonight.

The South Floridian squad beat Virginia Beach 3-0 in a game played at the Virginia Beach Sportsplex in front of 3,500 people.

After a very hard fought first half the teams returned to the locker room 0-0. In the second half, the Floridians went hunting for the three points and they didn't have to look too far.

Honduran midfielder, Walter Ramirez, scored his first goal of the season in the second period to give Miami FC the lead. Afterwards, Fabian Sandoval gave the FC the 2-0 lead on a well shot free kick. Cuban forward, Yaikel Perez, also scored his first goal of the year with Miami FC as he capitalized on a pass from Romario for the 3-0 win.

"I was happy to get my first goal of the season tonight during an important game. I was even happier that we won and we are another step closer to the play-offs," said Yaikel Perez after the game.

Miami FC is now ahead of Virginia Beach in the standings and is looking to move ahead of the Atlanta Silverbacks as they competition gets heated tomorrow night at 7:30 PM at the Silverbacks Stadium.
